  • You rode past me on New Cross Road earlier on this. Looks well nice in the flesh.

I made the lady at the table next to me jump by screaming DAS.

  • Ah you did shout.
Spotted the Mash and then saw you mouth something but wasnt sure.

    Didnt skid... Sorry. Next time.

  • donohue decals but no outline or anything, just proper in-your-face fluoro orange, on army green paint, you could get them pretty big because of the oval downtube)

This may happen still in the summer.

Getting a 100mm 10º thomson for spatrs off of DokPepe.
    Hopefully should sort it.

  • Yeah that could be cool. Does mixture of black and silver work though??

I've been thinking about this on my GW build. At first i built it up with spare parts box black components but silver cranks and it looked OK. Then the silver ritchey stem, seatpost and bars turned up, all in silver. I installed them and now i'm not sure - probably preferred black as eventually it'll have some black h+ archetypes going on. doesn't matter so much as it rides really nicely no matter the colour of parts.

I'd go all black on yours but i think silver cranks would break it up nicely.

  • Got a silver chainring to go on which should break it up.
Maybe in the future will think about swapping my 75s for silver ones or DA

  • Bought a 100 10º thomson off of pepe.
    hopefullly itll do the trick.

ive been running the 110mm flipped which has been okkkaayy but not quite right. im hoping i can run the 100mm the right way up and fairly slammed.

at somepoint i want a bent thomson to match up but will have to wait for a cheap one to come up

  • don't do the bent thomson. will look wack. Get an alien

  • ^ Would but mad pricey.

  • 100mm on and it feels so much better.
Going to cut the steerer down properly soon. Black seatpost needed. Anyone know of a niceish black layback post. Preferably not a single bolt.

  • Good to hear you got it safe and it helps.

  • 27.2mm

  • Cheers Pepe. Its worked a treat.

Ah, sorry dude i need 26.8.
I may of found something but will wait before i get too keen

  • No biggie. How was Ghana, man? The African attire looks dope man! You going out for a rise during the week?

  • Nitto seatposts are shit.

  • Nice to see another Donohue built G.W. frame. I bought my Donohue built 853 from Graham Weigh last year as a refurbished frameset and built it up with Ultegra 6600 and it's a fantastic bit of kit

  • don't do the bent thomson. will look wack. Get an alien

    Found me an Alien seatpost.
    Final piece to the puzzle.

Need to give it a clean and regrease and put 44rn on. Gearing down to 47/18.
Then need to work out saddle and cleat position right.

  • Decided to go back to threadless. For 2 reasons.
The Wound Up is too flashy for locking up around here and i get nervy.
I also desperately need money and have sold it on.

    44rn is also for sale - http://www.lfgss.com/thread130305.html
Again to save me some money. So will probably get a new Velo Solo chainring pretty soon.

Frustratingly the steerer on the original fork is like 1mm too long for a 2nut so am going to have to find somewhere to cut it down.

  • If you want a cheap ring I've found the goldtecs to be great or you can have my 48t omnium one, unused.

  • Was looking for a 47t as im liking 47x17 though was thinking maybe going 47x18

    How much though?

  • nothing mate, you were gonna sort me some BMX stuff and I've just got this sitting here with no use for it.

You could pair it with a 19t for a fab do it all ratio.

  • Yeah maybe.
We need to sort that BMX stuff soon man. I go away for a week on Monday but when I'm back we'll sort something

  • I go away on tuesday so yeah should be free like 9 days after that.

  • Keep the aarn

  • I would but I desperately need money to pay rent.
