amey you know you can change the chain, you don't need to buy a new bike?
-
• #5454
I know I chop and change but amey, it's custom. Nobody will want it, as it will only fit Morgan and Rogan and they don't need it.
-
• #5455
it has a 57cm or summit mad ST, neither me nor morgan would fit
-
• #5456
57cm!? The fuck?
-
• #5458
Whats so weird about that geo? LIttle long ht perhaps but thats pretty common these days anyways as spacer producers are going bankrupt.
-
• #5459
its probably too short on the TT for most people who ride that ST/HT i imagine?
-
• #5460
53 st with 52 tt seem pretty normal to me. The extension don't count unless we are talking aesthetics that is. Theres is atleast nothing really crazy going on there that i spot anyways then again i dont ride that size.. :)

150 head tube on a 53 ctc? Mental
-
• #5462
Looks like it was designed for integrated headset on the drawing atleast. So not that weird. The bike is prolly not for shortlegged ppl tho.

53 ctc sloping. So quite high.
It's a nice bike though. Does it really weigh 12.5 kg?
-
• #5466
I dont know what bike it is, is it a cross btw, just spotted the fork length. That standover must be on the high side tho i concur :)
-
• #5467
It would fit me and I would take it at any other point in time but now.
But I've got to say not going for an OS headtube was a mistake.
Is the rychtarski really that good? Isn't it MAX? I'd have thought that is massive overkill for such a small frame, unless you're really, really fat and heavy... which you're not.
Also I know it takes 'gaurds but can it take a over 25mm tyres + 'gaurds?
-
• #5468
Considering the lenght of the chainstays and the fork it must take 25+guards easily i would think.

yep 12.5kg on scale without anything on it :(
Rychtarski* can take 25mm + guards yes; it has long drop calipers. It also fits me better somehow; is lighter and feels faster; with TFG I could ignore the weight and use it as a commuter the only minus point apart from weight is that its concentrated at the rear axle so feels even more sluggish.
*measurements:
HT 13,5cm
ST c-t 51cm
TT c-c 51cm
TT actual 52cmIdeally i'd just like 2 geared bikes; winter/commuter and Sunday best. I'll see what the fit outcome is next week but I don't mind spending a little (Given I am 10kg lighter than last year while working on core and flexibility) and get something like this in small (546mm stack 375mm reach) if its going to fit; dont mind spacers; in the words of morgan 'fit before form darling; FIT BEFORE FORM'.

http://www.wyndymilla.com/latest-bikes/sale-bikes/foo-fighter/I did look at WM bikes; their OTP still have a little more reach than i'd like but then again lets see what scheritt thinks.

Maybe the fact you run the heaviest tyres known to mankind on the TF contributed to this?

360 to 370mm reach
560 to 570mm stackModern road frame; Not custom; Alu or Cabon.
Go
Trek Domane 52cm, 371 reach and 561 stack.
It's hard to find a road race bike with enough stack for your fit, unless you don't care about having the stock spacer on it.
I did look at WM bikes; their OTP still have a little more reach than i'd like but then again lets see what scheritt thinks.
Can't Scherrit offer some recommendation? he usually have some frame in mind when you went for a bike fit.
Seriously? Didn't you have that custom made or something?
What happened to all that crap about disc brakes and blah blah?
People on here... honestly.
