Which decent casual SPD shoes? Dzr, Chrome, Quoc Pham, etc

Having some problem with cleat clearance on my Chrome Kursks. Chrome sent me a new pair and the SPD cleats poke out eeeeeever so slightly.

Possibly solution lower lying cleats? Anyone got a comparison of Time Atac cleats VS SPD?

There isn't a great deal of clearance on the Kursks in my experience. SPD cleats are a bit chunkier than Atacs plus they don't wear down as readily, so you will be tap dancing a bit. Eggbeater cleats have the lowest profile but they're pretty sketchy for fixed riding.
