I made some progress on the Forza, just need to confirm the stem and saddle heights but they are the same as on my Vigorelli according to the tape measure. Going to chop the steerer too probably.
Better pictures to come.
Looks awesome, needs better cranks - what are those? Omnnnononns would look sweet.

I think this crankset is much nicer/more death metal than omnoms; its Ultegra 6700 and USE chainring

Does not compute. How do you know how good they are if you don't know what they are?
-
• #92305
It's also lighter and stiffer (and probably more aero) than omnoms
-
• #92306
Those cranks and ring are good enough for world track champions, they'll probably be ok for sumo.

Don't forget to note that the Phil Woods hubs spin forever too.

Your trolling game is weak today, Ed.

Henners, if you want to repaint the ting then maybe we could club up on paint costs at Armourtex?
-
• #92310
I'm not repainting it yet, it will have to be something interesting when I do and that = expensive (again).

chromaflare and chrome dazzle camo...
You know it makes sense.
I'm actually going to drop Nicolai Ornimental Conifer a line today and see if he'd be interested in doing my rud bik.

• #92312
I might drop Kingston Customs a line to rip yours off

• #92313
Just cover it in digi camo gaffa tape

What I originally meant was I have all the distances set up the same as the Vigorelli, but the geometry is different, so I will need to see how it feels when riding it.
what are you doing with the vigorelli now?

• #92316
Going to sell it
-
• #92317
i thought i can say "dibs" first but even the xl is too small for me
-
• #92318
It's not even an XL, it's an L - size 56

Also some gumwalls for the Balk (and a Grammo stem on the way)
Really like the gumwalls on it!
What brand are they? -

I had this beautiful Mercian delivered today! It's been a long while since I've had a project so I'm feeling very excited to get to work on it. Unfortunately it's not for me, it's for my pops but his only instruction was to build it as I would for myself.
Photos do no justice to the deep red sparkle paint. I'm pretty sure this is a 853 Pro-Lugless (2006).
I will be starting a project thread for this as I don't know exactly what to do and would like some advice from you. I'm thinking new black Campag and 3T...

It's a good advice, I build mine as if it were for me, he's very happy with it now (and I still like to own it once he can't cycle anymore).

I hadn't thought of that angle Ed, you're absolutely right though. Every cloud eh?

^^^ mini risers, hed 3 on the front, magic gear onto a disk which the rear cog is only fixed by means of super glue, brakeless.
Then please take a picture of his face when you hand it over and post on here!

Put on this make frame (can't remember which), with new to me Animal cranks, and a new set of cult pedals:

I need to source a rear 57mm drop brake calliper to go on my road bike because I stupidly forgot I'd specd the frame for full mudguards and the stock Ultegra 6800 rear calliper has too short of a drop. What would be the best option? Annoyed that it won't match the rest of the groupset..
