^^ Yep...
So I keep coming across bikes like this I like, they're not porn, not anti, not rat/beater/frankenbikes, trick, Lo-Pros or polo bikes...
So I thought it was about time we had a thread to discuss and admire our favourite guilty pleasures... I'm not talking HHSB as in colour coded everything, supreme stickers and ironic saddle angle.... Just something kind of awesome that you would actually own or ride.
Welcome to the HHSB thread!

Is that pink bike white chained or is that one of those trick-of-the-light silver chains. If it is the former, that is one thing I cannot accept under any circumstances. The pleasure is just too guilty.

Read all 843 pages. So let me see if I got this correct. The recipe for a HHSB (Starting from top down) is:
Saddle: Flite/ Selle/ Condor/Zoolander can qualify (Fuq a Brooks & no melting saddles)
Post: unbranded (avoiding Thomson) Matched to Stem & Cranks & Chain ring
Stem: (see above) 1” or 1 1/8, slammed (for aesthetics) on certain builds in-line with TT and somewhat chunky (but actually in a comfortable position when not in photo-shoots)
Bars: Compact drops/Bullhorns/Risers. Tastefully taped or long grips. (Oury are old school here>>>Anti) never Ergo drops
Frame: Mostly Pursuit geo (Only BMW Gangsta’s compact geo gets a pass). If Skinny Steel, dictates build. If NJS, dictates build. Classic frame can also dictate build (but not always).
Color can vary but murdered out =Late midschool HHSB. Naked Crabon gets a pass.
Rattle can is tempting fate.
Fork: Match set to frame or Alpina & Wound up (Rizla clearance = Big Daddy Kane- Smooth Operator)
Cranks: Rotor are winner. Also Sugino
Chain ring: If has winnar history= Win (Zen) Tooth size: try not to look like a Poof
Chain: yes (no color, no beads)
Pedals: Platforms w/ restraps = midschool HHSB. Look Keo= JayZ Tom Ford HHSB. Speedplays= no
Wheels: (New School build) +/-50MM deeps (Shamals, Ventos, Pistas, etc…)de stickered Chrome or black. Coloured is played out/tip toward anti.OR
(Classic build/Steel/NJS) -30MM deeps (H Plus, Open pros, etc… ) Never a chub. Never QR.
Tyres: cant fail w/ Grator Sikns-Front Spok or rear diks: old school cracked out HHSB basically the ODB of HHSB or maybe New School= Danny Brown
Danny Brown - "Monopoly" (Official Video) - YouTube
-Wacky parts: (i.e. Look stem) playing Russian roulette. Requires extreme care to not end up anti

HOF HHSB God Tier candidates*: The Yellow Condor(and all the yellow sons), Midnight blue Cannondalé Tarck, Maroon Bosomworth, Colnago Dream Pistas, Red BMW, Purple Vivalo, Marcus’ Ono, Reen’s Kagero, GT triple triangles…But it all has to come together a look well collected, fast, and ooze style

nice, but how is avoiding thomson hhsb? Isnt that the most generic hhsb item.
-
• #39659
Thomsons are ubiquitous= generic= boring and on noob build almost seem "try hard"
@ Roboto not quite but doffs cap accordingly
-
• #39660
Wonky Thomsons are radasfook...
Think really, you can't label what is and what isn't hhsb, because every great build is different. What works on some builds looks gash on others... So you can't apply a formula.

TM you are applying a you-cant-apply-a-formula formula right there.

AWESOME! ahem very nice.
The first rule of HHSB is there are no rules
Is that because, where we're going we don't need roads? -
• #39666
The first rule of HHSB is don't talk about HHSB

Some of my favourite sleds...

Not really much similarity between them... (sorry for reader's wives... can't be bothered to trawl for all the other awesome bikes that have been posted here)

I'm working on it... I seem to be cursed when it comes to discs. Did you replace your wheel cover? Old one for sellz?

Personal favourite sled, bar the supertype

Old covers were given away, they were a bit shit tbh. Probably too shallow for an Archetype too. You could go Raltecs but I reckon it's worth waiting for the real deal.
Donobrue is looking totes sweet.
