For Sale: Specialized Allez Epic Carbon Frame

Posted on
  • Hi all, I have for sale a Specialized allez epic carbon frame with aluminum lugs, carbon fork (Ambrosio) and Dura Ace headset.
I bought this frame a wile ago to build it but it is too big for me, i prefer something like 55-56cm. It is in excellent condition structurally and also very clean and polished.
It can be collected from east London, Bethnal Green area.
Have a look at the photos and PM me if you are up for it.

I also have some other bike parts but i will post later.

    Thanks!

I would like £120 for frame and fork. Please do correct me if i am way off.

    Size:
    ST: 60cm CTC
    TT: 58cm CTC
    Rear spacing: 127mm

  • Do you think that this could be run with 130 rear hub or will it potentially wreck the frame?

It is 127mm and when i had my wheel fitted i had to push it open slightly in order to fit so i guess it should be fine. Feel free to come and try it if you live locally

  • I have corrected the rear spacing in to 127mm.

If anyone else have any experience off fitting a 130mm wheel in to 127mm spacing please share with us!

  • What is the rake on the fork?

I had one of these, but it was a bugger to get a 38mm rake carbon fork to replace the aluminium original. With the angles being 74/74 it would rather twitchy with an incorrect fork.

I sold mine on here for £125.

I have no idea to be honest. All i know is that when i build it in order to test it felt very steady. My only problem was the size of the frame.
But you are right, from what i have read in forums people prefer to use aluminum forks with this frame.

  • Price drop £120
