That charge can take a beating though, decent for the old school side of freestyle.

This is my prototype destroy 29er, I was wondering if anybody was interested in the frame only? It was custom built by Destroy just under a year ago. I am posting it on here as I have no idea on how much I can charge for it, all I know is I paid something like 400 quid.
As it is a prototype there is an issue, I run 2.1-2.2 tyres and 175 cranks which is pretty much normal now in the 700c game however this DOES NOT allow barspin clearance on this frame. I cannot afford to experiment with shorter cranks and smaller tyres however it is possible that it could make a large difference! There is also unfortunately a dent in the top tube, Probably about the size of a 5p coin.
Apart from this however I have had no other trouble! Even fully built up this bike is lighter than my fellow riders high spec 26's. The frame is ridiculously responsive in terms of bunny hops and spinny 180's, 360's maybe 540's?? It also has a neutral bb height (0°) giving the bike no problem with peg (and pegless) grinds and also saving your knees. Raise the saddle on this bike and it becomes the gnarliest city commuter/beater (I haven't ridden my track bike for a very long time). If anyone has any questions or can give me a reasonable guide price let me know!

Nice bike, have a couple of questions.
How long is the top tube?
And is it DT or pedal clearance that poses a problem for barspins?
-
• #415
Top tube is 57cm! The clearance issue is with the pedal rather than the down tube, still about a cm clearance between the DT and the tyre!

Fuck. Harry don't tempt me! Would love this as a gnarly commuter.

can't be arsed trawling the whole thread / forum.
What cranks / chainrings / cranksets / bb's is everyone using, and what sort of durability issues have you encountered?
-
• #418
165 profiles or other 48 splined cranks
Mid bb where possible for strength
Spline drive cranksMy Sadio was kitted out with:
Profile 165 Bossless with GDH spindle
Tree OG 28t spline drive sprocket
Stolen Mid BBThey held up really good!

I've got a stolen mid BB, Gussett Hunter cranks and a Tree chainring, has been a-ok for me.

Cheers Mark.
Reason i ask is i'm having no end of woes with my 165 48 gusset hunters (yeah i know - they weren't cheap either) and a 44t profile elite race sprocket. There's now about a good 2mm of fwd / back play in the cranks which, while far from being unrideable, is annoying.
The good folks at Brixton Cycles reckon it's the chainring that's deteriorated around the spindle. Replacing it will remedy the situation for a while but there's no guarantee it won't happen again and they also aint cheap.
Guess i'm just casting about for options at the moment, hence the question.
