Unless I have misunderstood, the seller had a sale fall through on ebay and is now selling here at a price higher than the auction price on ebay, as BIN prices tend to be. I'm not sure what is particularly controversial about this.

I agree with you though - if the ebay sale fell through this fellow can put up his bike for whatever price he likes.

No, from what I've understood the chap here got the bile off ebay, but was collection only, so had to go pick it up and then someone else brought the bike down to London.

This added £100 which is, if you ask me, still on the fair side as one wants to recoup transport prices + time + gain.

Well, Rochester is in Kent and the OP stated he went there all the way from Edinburgh.

I can only assume he decided to drive south, pick the bike, drive to London to meet family, drop the bike to nephew, go back home.

@nickvonfiction thankyou!! The buyer did not want to come and collect so I decided to sell in London on here as ebay is a complete nightmare as there's nothing to enforce the completion of payment. I think it is a reasonable price and have had several offers already - let's see if they come through! £100 more as it is now in London and therefore available to a much wider demographic is unfortunately how economics work! I don't want to part with this for little money, there's serious sentimental value attached to this steed.. mainly my youth..
