Long shot. But I'm after some Clip on aero bars. Ideally I'd like some HED Clip-lites. They seem to put everything where I want it, have flip up pads, and are light. I have some HED lazy S Extensions (22.2mm). I dont seem to be able to Source the rest at a reasonable cost. Might have to get the USE unit. But it seems a touch high, and I cant flip the pads up.
If anyone has anything similar they'd be willing to part With, or any recommendations, I'd be Grateful to hear about them.

Will they improve my genetics?

They do look good. Just need to work out if I want above or below bar mounted extensions........

What frame are they going on, TT or road?
-

On a road bike, which has a few scoble bricks of drop. I can just about ride in the pusedo TT 'forearms-on-tops-hands-hanging-free' position. I'm just a little unsure if the added rise of the pad would be enough to make this a comfortable position. I Guess I can Space it up slightly. But the above bar Version cant be moved Down at all.

Are there any regulations in the rulebook about the relationships between 1st and 2nd claim clubs? I looked but couldn't see anything.
Specifically I've been a member of my university cycling club for the last 3 years and also a 2nd claim member of one of the local "town" clubs which allows me slightly discounted entry at the evening club TTs. It is becoming increasingly apparent that I'd get greater benefits with the local club rather than the university and so I'm thinking of upgrading my membership with the local club to 1st claim and then racing under their name. The only thing that annoys me is that I've just taken delivery of a new university skin suit - are there any rules (aside from etiquette) that bar me from wearing the university skin suit while racing for a different club? I read the clothing rules but since I'll technically still be a member of the university club it wasn't entirely clear.
Obviously I'll order a new "town" skin suit next season but is there anything stopping me using the wrong one this season?

I wouldn't worry. A lot of silly rules aren't really enforced.
But I belive if you're racing for A you can't wear something representing B under CTT.

No, the clothing regulations only refer to advertising and trade team clothing, it's perfectly fine with CTT for you to race in the colours of another club, although there are restrictions on representing another club.
In the olden days, our club rules (previous club) stated that you had to wear club colours in open events, and I think we have a rule buried in our procedures somewhere at MDCC which says the club will pay entry fees for national championship races for riders who compete in club clothing.

Cheers.
although there are restrictions on representing another club.
I saw these... I can only change 1st claim club once per calendar year and I have to ride for my nominated 1st claim club in open TTs. I don't expect either of these to be a problem as the only race I was hoping to represent the university CC in was BUCS this weekend and I didn't get selected.
Among other things, racing for the town club helps support the one of the clubs that organises the local evening TTs, gives me a preferential entry in evening TTs if they get busy and makes me eligible for the local league. Also I'm supposed to finish my PhD by september so I'll need to change clubs sooner or later anyway. I just didn't want to waste a good skinsuit.

You can wear the Uni skinsuit in everything, the only issue is whether your current club mind that much or not. We have ex Birmingham Uni riders racing for RST who missed the club kit order so are still in Uni skinsuits for the time being.
Incidentally for BUCS you don't technically need to have a cycling club at the Uni to represent them - when I was doing an MSc at Portsmouth they didn't have a cycling club but for the day of each BUCS event there's a stipulation somewhere from the CTT that says you can race under the name of your Uni rather than your regular racing club.

Right I have had a large bag full of fine white powder delivered and I plan on practising my fuelling strategy using it tomorrow, sounds like a good plan right?

Rode past the HQ of BUCS 25mTT today and saw lots of people warming up and then looped round to stand on the side of the course for a while. Slightly surprised to see at least a couple of people riding sleeveless, does BUCS count as a "club" TT rather than "open"?
My GF was amused that a small peleton of guys in full TT gear formed up behind her as we went past HQ and then stayed in her wheel for the next couple of kms as we continued on our pootle.
Wanted to DAS upsidedown but didn't spot him.

upsidedown didn't race, too far and got too much work on.

It's a full open but people flount the rules a bit, in the past we've had bikes with only one brake, aerobars too low (as per CTT regs), traffic counts over the limits, a guy in just bibs*, someone riding with earphones & aero helmet and then to top it all, the year I won two riders did a two up for 12 miles and got on the podium because the organiser didn't fill in one of the DQ notification forms and get it in the post in time. Still good fun though ;)

*yes that's right, just bibs nothing else

Nice to know university students have the intelligence to read and assimilate some simple regulations and the ethical standards to comply with them. We should be alright for captains of industry and politicians in 20 years time...

Just home from my first 10 mile TT. My aim was to get under that half hour mark, a real challenge for me as I'm on my normal road bike & don't possess any of the fancy technology or streamlined things that everyone else has. I even forgot to take off my saddlebag, but its a step up from having mudguards on I suppose.
It was windy, undulating & riding with us were the likes of Dame Sarah Storey & Katie Archibald, definitely no fastest times for us mere mortals. Back at HQ after tea & cake I went to see my time & was so shocked to see I had done it in 28:38. I never dreamed of being so quick! Unfortunately this has now set my benchmark time which I will somehow need to improve upon...
