Picco please PM to arrange pick up if you're interested.
Scobestack is included at no extra cost!
Amey thanks. Yes I was pleased to win the auction at £300 and I do think that £280 for the forum is a good price for a frame of this quality.

Happy to pass on the good deal I got to another forum member who's going to get many happy miles out of it I hope. My search for the perfect Roberts tourer continues...

You'd be better off with a Dave Yates or a Lee Cooper.

I got a Lee Cooper shirt from Matalan and it's pretty ropey. Not sure I'd trust his bikes. :D

Hi all.
For sale I have this Chas Roberts touring bike. Originally custom made in Croydon in 2004.
The frame is fillet brazed about the head tube and it has a combination of fillet brazing and lug work at the seat tube cluster. The paintjob is pretty special, with a metallic purple fade to black. Within the black sections there is an airbrushed style cross hatch design. I'll post some more pics of this at the weekend.
Full braze ons as you'd expect for guards and front and rear racks, and 2 bottles.
Shimano Deore triple groupset with V brakes. In good condition but in need of a tune up.
Jim Blackburn rear rack.
Suspension seatpost - mmm comfy!!
The wheels are fairly generic with 28mm tyres in good nick. In need of truing, but certainly rideable.
Seatpost and stem move freely. Not stuck at all. Headset and BB in good condition.
Specialized saddle. FSA stem. Wellgo spd / flat combo pedals. SKS guards.
The 1" fork has a super long steerer underneath those spacers. My plan would have been to cut the steerer down and rethread so I could fit a more traditional stem and drops.
I've had my eye out for a Roberts tourer for ages, and snapped this one up a little optimistically. It turns out it is too small for me by an inch or two so I'm selling it on.
I bought it as is 2 weeks ago for £300.
Yours for £280.
Pick up W1 or E9.
