How well does that work at high speeds, out of interest? I've only ever used coasters on silly cruiser bikes. And would you not still want foot retention to help with the back pressure/the complete the forumenger aesthetic?
In terms of stopping, I've used it in anger a few times and it does the job. Not well. But it works.
It's not really built for high speed with a 44-16 setup and no brakes up front, but it's good for nipping around the city and happens to be the only thing with skinny tires I own.
Truth be told what started as a weekend project, taking the derailleurs off and running it as a poor man's single-speed, got a bit out of hand and this is what I've ended up with.
It's always been about the aesthetics. I like it anyway.
