Does this mean that its acceptable for older members?
The problem is that defining trolling is subjective, and more relaxed banter is closer to the line.
It's more likely that someone who is established and relaxed is posting comments that appear to be trolling when in fact it's just social awkwardness, ignorance, etc.
But, if someone has been warned then it means that they've been reported by others and done it before, it means that the people on here have already determined the outcome of the argument and that it's trolling and not just banter.
In that case, it's a lot easier for me to do something... as people would have effectively told me what they perceive as trolling and I can keep on letting the community determine the outcome of subjective decisions.
With new members, who are not yet comfortable, interpreting posts is a lot easier... trolling is trolling. And I can just go ahead and ban those people.
