Im in the process of converting a disc wheel to fixed using the SPNK 'fixxer' but I would like some help on creating a new axle set up and where I might be able to find certain parts.
What I have is this hollow axle 9mm -
Which is held in place in the hub by this bit and the end dust cap bolt
Will get a new 10mm axle on payday to start it all up.
But what I basically need is a thin wide spacer to hold the bearing in place as to not let it move further in the hub when on the new axle. This should help to distribute the pressure evenly also. Right?
Where do I go about finding an extra wide spacer? It has to be thin 1-2mm
I also need to find some sort of dust cover for the non drive side, I will need to buy some new cartridge bearings as the one I was going to use is for an 9mm axle. the ones are FAG 629 http://www.spainbearing.com/FAG/FAG629/
Any ideas of what I might be able to use as a replacement? Or will I just have to make one with another wide spacer and a normal axle bolt.
One of the important things about this is that most of the bits needed have to be thin, as to not affect the general o.l.d?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge and terminology but I hope you get what Im trying to do and any help would be greatful of any links to parts or knowledge
