Is there a stat similar to the peloton catching a break 1min every 10k in a GT, for classics? Or is it too variable for anything like that?

Too variable to have a formula like that, but I'd expect these two out front to be caught.

The TV coverage isn't great is it? The group in between have mainly been caught, but we never got to see it.

Really impressed with BMC today, Van Avermaet rode really well and gave the rest of the team an armchair ride, Sanchez hit them hard on the Cauberg and forced the likes of Gerrans, Kwiatowski and Valverde to go hard to chase them, then Gilbert went once they began to flag. Excellent tactics.
