  • I think more a general attitude in my opinion. In the sense the company perhaps has a specific image for its brand and if you do not fit that brand image then you are perhaps looked at outwardly. Again, this is the impression I got from being in there.

Maybe it's the lack of tan lines...

In all seriousness though, as much as I like Waffa, 99% of their customers DON'T fit the image (I don't!). This is shit and I'd rather wear DHB than Wacist Waffa.

They need to do some serious firing/hiring better people.

The shop staff would know better than anyone else that Rapha customers are hugely varied and don't conform to the marketing ideal of what they are, they'll be used to all sorts of people wandering in who may not look 'Rapha' at all and dropping a grand on new kit. And they'll be happy about that because it's making the company money and getting more people wearing it.

If you were wearing lots of Rapha then they should have treated you even better since that indicates you're already a customer and have probably got the money to buy more of it. I highly doubt that your skin colour made any kind of difference and it's a bit shitty to accuse the entire brand of being racist just because you had a negative experience in the shop that almost certainly wasn't remotely related to your race. Most of the staff I've met have awesome customer service skills and will happily launch into really deep and detailed explanations of products if asked.
