do you have any other well made lightweight mixte bikes like this?
-
• #8
Damn was looking for one like this for the mrs.
-
• #9
Not at the moment,sorry
-
• #10
Buyers beware, dealer sold the bike even though I had called dibs and we were negociating on price.
-
• #11
You should probably sue him in Dibs court.
-
• #12
Exactly ...
calling out dibs and then wanting to pay half the price..we werent negotiating
you was -someone else simply bought it. -
• #13
My bid stood at 205GBP with shipping to Belgium, asking price was 235GBP with shipping to the UK
It's just poor form, which leaves me frustrated. -
• #14
No your bid was 170 euros to start with. Which is half what I asked...so I gave someone else a fair shot ..
-
• #15
... which is poor form.

Low balling is poor form buddy. If you want a bike that bad, pay the asking, if you're trying to haggle a guy down and someone else pays him more, then maybe you shouldn't have been so damn tight. rih has done nothing wrong. Don't be a douche bag.

Sure, you have a point. I just wish rih had been more clear about it.
I consider price negotiation a normal part of a transaction. My first bid was based on an identical bike that was sold last week for that amount. And when rih made clear that he did not want to revise his price, I upped my bid to basically his asking price (taking into account reduced shipping costs).

In the mean time - while you were assessing market value someone else just rocked up and purchased it. No harm at all. To be fair the price was never too high was it? To be honest I think it was the attempt at a public shaming which may have most people's backs up. No need for that at all.

^^ why don't you waste someone else's time?
you were negotiating -not me..
as I stated before ..from the beginning:the price was in the original post
no haggling esp. not in the way you do business
I'm always quite lenient for an offer but you simply took the piss( and carrying on even when it was clear that I would not change the price)and keeping other potential buyers waiting..
Can you now leave it?? -

“I consider price negotiation a normal part of a transaction”.
You might, but that doesn’t mean the seller has to.
It was offered at a set price, you dibsed, you lowballed, you lost out to someone who was willing to pay the full price.
Seems fair enough. -
