I am 95%+ sure this is an FW Evans frameset, because the markings on the BB shell are almost identical to an Evans of the same period -- see the photo in the above album. The overall style suggests late fifties, early sixties, and It was probably brazed up for Simplex gears. The top tube is short for the period -- more of a racer than a tourer.

The paint is obviously atrocious, but the metal is in fine condition -- I can't find a single dent or ding (though such things don't show up well when the paint is a mess). There is no significant rust and the BB shell threads are in excellent order. It will look gorgeous with new paint, but it's too small for me so I can't really justify taking it any further.
