Weather envy, it's hilarious. There's rarely mud in SoCal. When I lived there, I washed my bikes once every 6 weeks or so. Riding them just gets the drivetrain dirty, which any of us can have looking new again in about 15 minutes.
I know this forum loves to speculate as to whether Prolly-type LA builds (of any kind) ever get ridden; The answer is yes. A shitload. The weather, the hills, the roads and trails are too good not to.
