Try a slightly shorter stem then if you feel you got your saddle position sorted.
I did when I bought the current stem, I don't have any issues now. This was an old issue that I soon amended after purchasing the bike.

Nice bike Kaaaaaaandries. Thinking of studying in B'mouth next year. Hows the fixed gear scene down there? Do you ever ride at the Velodrome?
Thanks mate.
'Scene' down here is ok. There's a few Facebook pages floating about but we do ride quite regularly. There's usually around 5+ on rides but we're looking to do these more often especially summer time and get more people involved. You will see quite a few fixie skidders about though.
As for Velodrome, been a few times. One of those times I fell on my face due to it being wet lol. But yeah it's good fun.

Hit a few minor issues this evening...
Missing one of these things to attach the road levers to the handlebar. Anyone know what it's called?
Also think I may have messed up my headset/fork thing. I used a shorter stem temporarily, however went to put the original back on with the compact bars as per below. Trouble is the headset clamp(?) wont tighten and instead keeps turning. When I unscrew it it doesnt come out either. Any idea? Will it be safe to use on the commute? Will have it looked at on Saturday but just want to know if it'll come off as I'm doing 80mph's (not really).

Do the forks have a star nut fitted or is that a hope head doctor type setup?
If its loose enough to spin both ways you could probably just pull it out? atleast that way you could try and see whats going on?

Ahh Dry, no idea mate.
I rode it today lol, didnt break my teeth. I think I'll just take it to my LBS on saturday and hopefully they'll be able to sort it. Not really removed forks to see what's going on on that side of things so not really comfortable nosing around there.
I was hoping it was an easy fix.

^^^ that is a clamp band .. http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/shimano-st-6700-clamp-band-unit-prod29929/ .. I'd hazard a guess it may be cheaper to look for a second hand pair of levers ?
^^ I'm guessing you have a star nut in those forks and the Allen key screw spinning looks to me like you've torqued that assembly down at some point so much that the threaded insert in the star nut is spinning. LBS unless your confident of drilling and cutting the star nut out and replacing it.
On riding it like that .. as long as the stem fixings are torqued correctly it is safe. The top can should only be used to adjust the compression of the headset / stem / spacers assembly and not hold the whole assembly together.

Thanks for the help Oswald.
Update
Took the Lengster to my lbs to have the rear brake, hoods and star nut sorted. Will get pics when I get a chance.
Initial thoughts are - I'm a bit stretched on the bike now so may make use of a smaller stem I have laying around and see if that helps. Just need to sort out how I'm gonna carry my bag now.. Less than a month till the trip!
SmallBig problem though... I've developed a noisy crank over the last month or so. It's not the chainring bolts and the crank arms are on tight enough. No play in the bb either.Anyone know what it may be?
It's definitely in that area as I'm cycled with one leg putting pressure on both ways and no noise. As soon as I clip the other foot back in, the noise returns upon pressure of the opposite motion to the other foot. Hope that makes sense?! Not sure my budget can stretch to replacement cranks with timescales involved.
Pics soonh!

Check pedals.

^ that'd be my suggestion .. maybe do some one leg drills with each leg and see if you can isolate the noise. Also check your rear wheel is securely tightened.

Ahh turned out to be the pedals, although I'm gonna give it a few days still.
Thanks :)

It's a rucksack actually.
Ive taken to utilising ghetto saddlebag when I run out of space in my bag for grocery shopping. I just tie a carrier bag to saddle rails. Looks daft but you can get a couple loaves of bread or bunches of bananas on there.

This has been stolen in the Bournemouth area.
Anyone round here please can you keep an eye out and pm me if possible.

risers or like in the picture above with a cross-top and drops? did it have mudguards on as well? will keep an eye out. where in bournemouth was it taken from if you don't mind me asking, in a place as small as this, i would think the probability of spotting someone on it would be quite high.

Superjoe
It's fitted with drops and hoods with the pink bar ends like the last pictures above. No mudguards.
There's one on Gumtree at the moment, exactly the same however it has standard silver chainring whereas mine has a black Stronglight one.
Was taken from my flat in Southbourne, Parkwood Road.
Thanks and appreciate your help.

Fuuuuuuuuuck! That's terrible! Really really hope you get it back. Let me know if you need to borrow any parts to get the pug ready for Paris if the worst comes to the worst. Make sure you check out all the sketchy second hand shops in Boscombe, particularly that one off the high street towards Pokesdown.

Yeah it sucks Loz.
I shared the fuck out of the pictures and stuff everywhere so hopefully something turns up. Tempted to stick it on Gumtree / FB for sale pages but I'm scared doing that will mean the person might hold onto it a bit longer?
Pug is at WGBS atm, was gonna have the canti's fitted ready for the swept back handlebars but I'm guessing that's gonna have to wait for now.
Will give you a shout if I need anything :)

The great thing about an OTP bicycle, is that you know exactly what to do to your next one when the insurance pay out.

Belting! Let's smuggle him into France.
Try a slightly shorter stem then if you feel you got your saddle position sorted.
