Unilateral tinnitus is almost always not noise-induced, unless your other ear is already seriously damages or deformed already.

Quinnine, drinking and other sinus problems are some of the most common causes though. Do a seach for ototoxic drugs and see if there's anything you take regularly which could be contributing.
There are some therapies for tinnitus, but no cure if it gets really bad unfortunately. Tinnitus retraining therapy is mostly distraction techniques. White noise can help mask it sometimes. You can even get pillows with built in speakers that play white noise to help you sleep.
