Sorry - I was looking at the 'super rare' Dave Lloyd as it is my size and Ti.
It unfortunately has an almighty crack in the top tube that looks terminal.
It also looks like it has been ridden around the world twice.

Hi, I've just found this around the corner from where I live, going to have a look tomorrow. I've posted this question already on the Merckx owners thread but I wondered if anyone on here could help me. I basically want to know how to tell if this is a real Merckx as it's pretty cheap? I'd also like to know if anyone could tell me how old it's likely to be as I'm hoping to find something to use for l'eroica this year? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It is a 'real' Merckx but this is the very low end ones they mass produced and it is really heavy gaspipe tubing, massive clearance and it isn't worth much.
Tons of them in France for circa 50€
