Got my Torsion bars fitted, along with a pair of King cages and went for a ride today. Much better, back to the way it was when I first built it. I even made it up a particularly tough switchback climb on the Cathkin mtb course that's been beating me recently.
I even had time to head to the park to take some photies,
Oh and I felt the bearings in my rear wheel were a bit rough so switched them out with some I had in the toolbox - bit peed off that they've gone so quickly but I guess the wheelset was super cheap. Mood was rectified when, while removing the rear wheel I realised my frame has Sub11 ends. This article on the Surly blog seems to suggest that this means mine is an early version, probably earlier than I thought.
