Also, the wretches that only manage to cheat a mere £750 will probably cling onto every penny.
I rather doubt that - in my experience it will have gone straight into someone elses pocket.

Nicky Jacobs found not guilty of Broadwater Farm murder of PC Blakelock. In other words, because the police fabricated evidence the only person to go to prison for PC Blakelock's murder was a man who had nothing to do with it.

Wrong. Miller should be applauded for being a good role model. True to Tory values she proves that with hard graft you can eventually work your way up to a position where you can embezzle much bigger sums.
Also, the wretches that only manage to cheat a mere £750 will probably cling onto every penny. The economy will suffer as a result. Miller blew all the money on fancy redecoration and probably created a few jobs in the process.
What was she decorating? obviously not her fa----- no, I can't be that bitchy.
Bit concerned that the new culture guy, Sajid Javid, says his favourite band is U2 though...:/

Suggestions that he only got the role because he said Putin's actions in Ukraine were all Milibands fault (sic).

because a man that is convinced we're ruled over by a family of malevolent snakes has the moral authority to call other people bonkers. even if they clearly are.

Nah, Icke may be nuts but his site aggregates some interesting stuff. That link takes you to a summary which in turn takes you to the venerable Daily Mirror.

First I lol-ed, then I was all srs.
“If there are things that are stopping you from doing more, think of me as a giant Dyno-Rod,” he said.
“It is the case that Christians are now the most persecuted religion around the world, we should stand up against persecution of Christians and other faith groups wherever and whenever we can.”
Mr Cameron said.
(nah, I lol-ed both times)

However, Maria Miller's constituency - Basingstoke - just falls outside this limit. Her train journey would be 51 minutes station to station.
As it happens, she made no claims for a second home for a while but has claimed rent - although not mortgage payments as this is not allowed under the new rules.
I'm confused, if you can charge for rent, but not a mortgage, what exactly is stopping them having two homes and 'renting out' the mortgaged one, whilst they claim for living space in another house, for free. Oh yeah, morals. Damn.

hmm. Cartoonist Polyp is currently trying to get his work removed from ickes website as he is using it without permission/payment.

So a Tory can't be expected to take a sub 1hr train ride (inevitably in first class paid for by the general dickhead populace) but can be expected to overclaim £50,000 on their second house that they didn't need and were using as a kind of containment pen for their elderly parents to stop them having to spend a penny of their own money on basic subsistence.
I see. Interesting. I suppose everyone else hauling themselves out of bed and onto nightmarish privatised rail networks in the morning and paying thousands a year for the privilege will have plenty of time to mull over their own poor life choices on their way into whatever rathole job they work in without subsidised luncheons, above inflation pay rises and gilded retirement packages.

I think Gove and Cameron's speech writers are losing the will to live.
Dyno-Rod. I thought that was Nigel Evans' nickname anyway?

People seem to be ignoring the elephant in the room while going on about 'foreign dust' being to blame. Pretty spectacular.

Christians are one of the most perscuted groups in the world, but to say they are the most persecuted group is clearly an unescessarily extreme position to take, which is going to invite ridicule and do nothing to help the issue.
I guess he was talking about stuff like this, which seems to be getting worse.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/nigeria/10642979/Boko-Haram-kill-over-100-in-village-massacre.html
The most depressing thing I heard recently was that Christians in Africa have been targeted because of the Anglican Church's relaxed stance on homosexuality. "We should stand up against persecution of Christians and other faith groups wherever and whenever we can." Is not something I would argue with, but from his mouth comes accross as a cheap soundbite.
