They are images. Use them at the original sizes whenever possible.
If you want a different resolution for Retina screens then use JS to swap the sources out.

I'd say it's pretty strong. My company is actively hiring.

A good knowledge of JS is essential to be a decent FED, but how much and what kind of JS you'd use really does depend on what you're building. With websites you aim to do the heavy data lifting on the back-end, use as little JS as possible, and if native HTML or CSS then you leverage that. But then if you're building a full app then the whole thing might be JS driven, and you'll be using JS to write HTML templates and construct a full MVC stack and do all sorts of heavy lifting right there on the client, and instead of small size your biggest concern will be memory management and execution speed. Like a 'proper' programmer :-)

You need a bit of JS for stuff like that, but only a tiny bit.
You'll need an event listener to detect the scroll events. This triggers a function that swaps between 2 CSS classes depending on whether the div you want to stick is now going off the screen or not.
Those 2 css classes will change the div between position:fixed and position: static/relative/absolute (as appropriate)

Yeah, I know a bit of that, I found things on stachoverflow and a few other webpages... but still I couldn't make it work properly.
The parallax too it's quite interesting to learn. I will go back to all that later, now that we are doing the responsive is better that I concentrate only on that which seems to be more important...

I have a problem of conflictuality between these two scripts, the last one in the head ruin part of the animation of the previous, I can live with it if the order is first the 3D followed by the 63321, but I lose part of the animation of the 3d... le sigh!

Anyone knows how to code it right!

I have a problem of conflictuality between these two scripts, the last one in the head ruin part of the animation of the previous, I can live with it if the order is first the 3D followed by the 63321, but I lose part of the animation of the 3d... le sigh!

I see this thread is not active much, but thought I'd give it a shot - a question about embedding video on a website - thanks in advance for any help!

So what I need to do is embed a video on a very simple HTML site.
The video consists of a couple of parts / scenes - and the goal is: visitors of the site should be able to watch "the whole thing" seamlessly, like a regular one-part video, and at the same time being able to "skip forward" to, say, "scene 3".
It would be sufficient to have like a couple of links below the video (like a couple YouTube-Video-link with added "start video at.." code.Alas YouTube seems not to be an option (so far this is hosted on vimeo - and I have not seen "start at:..." links there, just a way of using javascrip wizardry with "seek to ()" parameters - which all very much goes over my head (I just do pretty basic HTML).
