Hi everyone, I am looking for a relaxed place where I can get back into polo. I played a couple of years ago in Beijing and I loved it so much.

I am probably beginner level, but not a complete beginner, I played in matches with friends in China. Better at defense than scoring. My technique needs improving, but despite that, I still loved to play and to get involved!!!

What is your group like in Hackney downs, are you open to people like me coming along and playing with you, or are you at a set level and are working with just your crew? If so, do you know of a crew or group or place that I could go to? Or perhaps I could come by and say hello and see how its done in London.

Feel free to come down to any north east session but the play is fairly fast and skilled. The beginners session in London Fields is the best place to go to get up to speed. Send a private message to CoventeyEagle in this forum for the beginners info or come to hackney downs to see for yourself.

But I really want to see what London polo is like either way. Also If any one has a couch to be slept on, that would be radicle.

The beginners sessions are usually on a Tuesday evening at Newington Gardens, Harper Road, SE1. As Snoops says, the usual sessions in Hackney Downs are frequented by players who've been playing a good few years and you may be a bit lost by it all. My advice would be to check the beginners sessions first and see how it goes, if its too slow for you then check out the other options.
