To fix the bottle cage fixing you will need to remove the bolt first.
Drill the bolt out using a drill bit between 3.5 and 4 mm diameter. You may need to hold the bolt head with pliers or similar to stop the bolt turning.
This may now allow you to remove the bolt if you can hold the nutsert. There should be very little if any thread left.
If you are successful removing the bolt you can try either borrowing or buying a nutsert puller or make a diy one.

I have an old CAAD5 which I love but would also love to build a Saeco bike. How much does yours weigh built up with the DA bits?

Tidy! Instant build so to speak. I'd lose the red stem and get a black or maybe silver one with less upward angle though.

@Ollie, it's a 56cm
@Howard, the boat anchor unfortunately, looks good, weighs the earth
@freezing, thanks for that man, it's really helpful, gonna soak it with gt85 for a few days first too.
@tdm, not sure on the weight as I don't have any scales but i reckon with lighter forks it'd be fairly close to my planet x carbon with the same components!
@Russmeyer, I need a wet look black wcs stem I reckon, would like to slam it too but I'm unsure on stem position as I've not ridden it yet. Look forward to seeing yours!

Sprayed and lacquered some 3T Fundas. Think the colour's a decent match, my decal placement was a bit out though I think. 3T stem also added.

Very happy. I pulled the trigger on some very nice superstar wheels and 105 11 speed gruppo. I think it came together quite well. First ride for about 6 months tomorrow.
Take a look at my crappy blog for a few more pics and weights.

Awesome work, it looks fantastic!

Personal preference, I know, but give it a black/white saddle to match stem/bars and that will be perfect.

Would you mind giving some thoughts on the wheels? Do the logos come off? I'm thinking of getting a pair at some point.

Super nice , strong work on the fork.

Used to have one of these, would absolutely love another. Nicely built up, hope you enjoy it

Only just realised this is the same frame I'd commented on before. Current build is much better. Dibs frame if you ever sell

Looks the shizzle. Agreed that it just needs a matching saddle now.
Overall weight?

Nice build Brian Rouke Cycles has one of Cipollini's ex team bikes hanging up in the showroom but its an earlier year in red running on Campag Record
So I finally bought myself the frame I'd always lusted after when I first got into cycling. On arrival it was in fairly decent nick but the guy who sold it to me failed to mention the downtube bottle cage mount was loose but I'll let him off as he left the carbon campy record headset in. There is also some bubbling to the paintwork but I guess it's to be expected of an alloy frame this age.
The bikes built on a Dura ace 7800 groupset, Ultegra wheels and mostly ritchey components (unsure about the red stem but it was mad cheap) except the bars which are carbon FSA. Will probably need some tweaks and it's hardly period parts for the frame but I think it looks decent.
Stuck bottle cage bolt and loose thread, any suggestions?
