JC did eventually reply to my emails about a week ago (he had apparently gone abroad for a spell just as the transaction was being wrapped up -- to be fair, I had some paypal problems, so probably contributed to the bad timing), and today the seatpost arrived. Awesomely packed, as described, and looks the part on my Pina. Whole process took a little longer than I would have wished for, but happy in the end.
