i was thinking about the route
it's probably better to train out and cycle back
it's nice just to be able to ride right to your own home after a ride when knackered rather than dither round at a train station and getting all stiff on the train
therefore i suggest we meet up, not too early at st pancras ( 10 - ish ) and grab a train to either luton central or leagrave ( the source as seen below ) and take it from there
the luton section is tricky as it runs through underground channels and culverts. it pops up every now again so it is followable
once we get to the river proper south of luton it is simple to follow with a bit of hedge hopping and field traversing
obvs a couple of pub stops along the way, hadn't planned on stopping for lunch, but there are a good few pubs if the mood takes us
