The 20 ball bearings in the retainer do point to Chorus indeed (see http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=9EFF60DA-7D2D-4EE2-875C-FFD5ED381D58&Enum=111&AbsPos=5). Athena is supposed to have 19 ball bearings.
Is the pressed-in top part perforated? I might be interested, pending some better pics of the scratches - need to know if it would be a cosmetic upgrade or not!

EDIT2: Checked the bin box, not needed atm (in fact, I am just looking for a top cup).
