Dolan Pre Cursa / PreCursa / Track Champion

Always good to check the clearance section on Dolans site too. They often have frames a bit cheaper that just have a few paint scratches from the warehouse or whatever.

Am i going to have problems trying to run a massive chainring(61T) on a pre cursa? Will it foul the chainstay?

Is there a practical reason you're running such a big ring?

It will depends on your chainline but you may run into problems on some of the frames.

Not particularly as its just for looks (i have a 22T for the rear). Im running a halo aerotrack rear wheel so standard track chainline i think? Its also a 54cm if that helps.

Yup they have a 42mm chain line, if you put the 61T on and it doesn't work I'm sure it would be possible to space and then reddish the rear wheel for a wider chain line but that's a lot more effort than it's worth.

On an Apollo sized frame, sure, maybe. On a 54, a 61t rig will make it look like a locomotive, and thus, crap.

Haha yeah i know it'll look shit but i got the ring fairly cheap so i'd like to try it out. Plus im sure theres some gubbins about efficiency and longer lasting chains with big rings...anyway i'll always have 42-17 to change to if it doesnt fit

You tripping?!?! Wash out your mouth with soap! Granted omniums are no Mona Lisa, but the On Ones I had to sell when I had them just because my vision blurred whenever I glanced at them. Hideous stuff.

Not that pretty but work very well and are cheaper than omniums, a perfect fit for the pre cursa.
