The stupid thing about it is that it was a golden opportunity for Sherwood to hold the ship steady, do a decent job and get a foothold in the management game. The idea that he might be manager beyond the end of the season is ridiculous and it just shows what a complete idiot he is that he's hanging on to it.
If he'd not made such a total tit of himself, it would be easy to imagine a struggling Premiership (Norwich? Fulham?) team or a good Championship team taking a punt on him at the end of the season. Now, no-one will touch him with a barge pole.
