Thanks Bristol for a mega-fun tournament.
Peregrine's spirit and Cam's amazing shots won over the crowd in the last few games but Mondial were so calm and in control all weekend. Great to see open and attractive polo dominating all weekend, right up to the final. So few teams are turtling!
Slippy court was great to spectate, but heartbreaking to see people slip out when just about to shoot a one-on-one. Big shots were obviously the way to go...
Big up to Pique and Landslide - great teamies even though our results weren't great.

Oh and well done to FinTimJim - played amazingly well, especially for a new combo. Great that they have qualified for the Euros!
They have a long way to go until they can compete for Fattest Team though...

Thanks for a great weekend Bristol and especially thanks to Paddy for stepping in to play with Ed and I.
Fushia posted about it on the previous page but if anyone has picked up or spotted my blue musette at the courts at the end of the day yesterday, can they PM me asap
(It has a black A5 diary, a haruki murakami novel and a nexus 7 (looks like a big phone) in it) -

Thanks Bristol, solid weekend of polo.
Nice work Mondial FTW and Peregrine for playing solid polo all weekend.
If anyone picked up an orange top tube pad after the group photo that was mine, Pm.

Thanks Bristol and well done Mondial. Thought we were in for a second final for sure, really enjoyed watching Peregrine's games on Sunday afternoon, not sure it was the best decision to be behind the goal when Cam was hammering those shots up the court!
Well done Paddy and all the other organisers/helpers, had a really good weekend despite our results. Hope to be back soon for another tournament!

Congratulations to Mondial and bad luck to Peregrine.
Thanks Will. Great photo. Ha! The old still giving the young a lesson!
Thanks Bristol for putting on another great tournament. It ran smoothly all weekend, despite the poor weather on Sunday.
Had great times on and off court due to the usual fun spirit of UK bike polo scene. Was also great to see some old faces from UK Champs of past back on court. May others return soon too.
Big thanks to Sophia and Warins for putting me up. All refs. Cam and Chris for playing solid all weekend. And of course congrats to Mondial, The Break Up and Lords of Death - all played awesome. Great to see UK polo playing clean and stylish overall.
Special shout out to Turd. Was good to see him looking so well. Inspiration. #reallife

Many thanks to Paddy, Zsofia, Cab.Rich, and all Bristolians involved in hosting and organizing the event.
Refs on court are ace. I love seeing them running out of the way and the way they are part of the game not spectators.
Absence of alcohol made so much less litter, and a more chilled vibe.
Great to be back at a polo tournament , seeing faces old and new.
Big love to Aiden, to Neil for the fist aid and Robbie and Max for being such amazing team-mates. -

Struggling to think of work today because I'm still thinking about polo.
Having the UK Champs as the first "proper UK tourney" of 2013 (i.e open and with teams from distant scenes and teams of varying experience) was unconventional, but I think this helped make it an even more exciting tourney to watch and to play in. There were far fewer predictable outcomes and the busy 2013-2013 transfer window meant that you couldn't speculate about how your opposition would combine each player's individual traits: adapt or
dielose.Feeling great about Flowery Twats, started mid-table and ended-mid table but I'm proud of our performances in each game and I'm looking forwards to our next tourneys. Big thanks to Kropa for being Twat #3, it was super awesome that even though we'd never been on the same team we worked as a trio from game 1.
Congrats to Mondial, Peregrine, The Break Up and Lords of Death; Heroes on the court, gentlemen off the court, you've shown us all you're teams who can represent the best UK polo at the Euros in Italy and hopefully at the Worlds in Montpellier.
Thanks to Zsofia, Paddy, Rich, Cab and everyone else who helped make it happen. Bristol tourneys get better every time.

Nice one Bristol, stirling work as usual. Shouts out to the top 4 and bad luck Ali and Ed, I think things would have been different if Seb could've made it. Good times. Keep it Peregrine.

Apologies for the gobshite and his worthless heckling during the finals, my sympathies go to Arthur in whose van he went home. Big respect to the players who gave it the zero attention it deserved.
