Shure do isolate ridiculously well (especially if used with the foam tips) so might not be the best for riding as you said yourself. Have heard good things about SoundMagic's over the years but due to recent problems with some straight jacks, I try my best to avoid them and go for the L shaped ones. However, I'm not entirely sure that's a good enough reason not to try them.
