For Sale: 1950's Humber Streak Frameset (fixed)

Alas I am selling my "purple bike" frameset. I love this frame but in all honesty I'm never going to get round to building it up again so would rather it went to someone who will ride it.

58cm seat tube. Can measure the rest if needed but it fits like any other 58cm sized bike.

I had it powder coated at Armourtex in the purple colour you see in the photo with metallic laquer. Forward facing horizontal dropouts and takes a standard 120oln track hub perfectly. Standard British threaded BB.

Straight blade Tange (I think) chrome forks included as seen, take a standard drop 700c brake.

Headset and seat post included. Cunt sticker on seat post included which is worth the money on its own.

Now £80 no splitting. Based in Sydenham, collection only please!

Yep it is 531, was one of the English built Raleigh "Lenton" models which were all standard 531.

Seatpost size is 25.4mm - black one in the photo is included.

ffs stop dropping the price or I'll buy it even though it's miles too big.

I know, I need rid as it's taking up room now and there's a new touring bike getting built. Getting a bit silly tho as it's a really nice example of an old Reynolds frame but nobody seems to want it :-(

Maybe I could ride it with like a non-existent stem or something...

with headset and seatpost + front forks this is a no brainer for anyone taking on a 531 project. bump.

Haha, you're welcome to pop over tomorrow (I'll be at home all day) or over the weekend. I rode this around for about 3 years and loved it, even managed to get up Ditchling on an L2B run fixed :-)

I suppose the only odd thing is that the original forks were scrapped due to having mahoosive clearances and 90mm OLN spacing (an old 50's Raleigh standard apparently) so the front and rear brake drops don't match, but then I can throw you in a front and rear brake that work just fine from when I ran it S/S for the Dunwich Dynamo one year.
