Lovely bike

Thanks, it is indeed and I enjoyed commuting with it.
But then my gf Gazelle came in, smaller, which I rode a few times even if a tad too small for me, and what a difference !That's where I realised that as much as I like this bike, it is too stiff and lovely bike are popping out all around me!!

I love this bike! Have been watching it change hands on here with envy for a while - I would probably be interested in the frame and forks if you do decide to split
-
• #6
If you confirm your interest in the frameset we can start speaking :)

Awesome frame, I can vouch for the very tight clearances and race geometry. I am still amazed you got mudguards in there.
Will this old girl ever find a stable home and be truly loved or just end up being passed around the forum like a ships barrel ?
-

According to theatomium, his home could be a very stable one.
Otherwise it will become the forum's mascotte :)And yeah, as you said, the frame is an awesome one, used it around Richmond loop and was impressed. But, as mudguards/rack suggest, I would like to have a more touring, albeit light, one.
After all I am not a racer. -

I am still amazed you got mudguards in there.
They work well against rain, but mud clogs up and needs proper cleaning as soon as one gets home if you happen to go over mud (which happened to me along the river path between Hampton Palace and Kingston Bridge)
So yeah, fitted, but...

I am going to have to pass on this because I am too big for such a nice bike. Please someone find this bike its forever home!
-
• #11
Weird that it has rack points but no mudguard, cracking frame
-
• #12
Glad it has them, being a proper racing frame!
I used it again during the last two days (didn't want to use it much being for sale) and damn, the more you use it the less you want to part from it!

This is how it looked this morning, I realised I didn't put pictures with grey seat post.
These days I've removed rack and mudguards, so you can see it in all of its splendor.http://www.flickr.com/photos/anidel/sets/72157643568987144/
Small price drop to justify the bump too:
£390 as it is
£370 with 'original' saddle
£300 with 'original' setup (no Ergo saddle, no Marathons, black seat post, no mudguards, no rack)PS: The Ferrari in the picture is not free, as it is a car I'll pay you a fee to take it! ;)

Small price drop £395

Still up for grabs!
And little price drop to justify the bump: £390

Small price drop due to 'removed' parts from the bicycle (rack and mudguards).
As I am building the Holdsworth with different parts, I won't be dismantling this one (except for the mudguards and rack).
Thus, I have removed the frame only option from the sale.Anyway, I will actually probably keep the whole bike.
So if you want to buy it, let me know asap before I actually decide to keep this thrubred bicycle for myself to complement my touring Holdsworth Mistral.
Final price, then, for the bike with no mudguards, no rack and Flux faux-leather saddle is *£360
PS: I know, I haven't removed the liveWRONG sticker yet!

Sorry guys didn't realise I didn't close this thread when posting the bike on eBay.
Anyway, it has been sold (sad face) to a nice chap here in London who might be a forum member, but not sure. He's gonna take good care of her.
Thanks!
Aniello
Hi everyone,
I got this beautiful blue bike here on the forum a few months ago from Phil.
Built by Venom Racing Cycles in the UK with Reynolds 731OS tubing.
Original sale thread here:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread114798.html
Bike looks same as in Phil's pictures.
UPDATE: new pictures as it is setup now
https://www.flickr.com/photos/anidel/sets/72157643568987144/
Specs:
Frame Reynolds 731OS tubeset with 708 fork blades – 56cm (22in) c-t-c: top tube 57cm (23in) with 90mm stem so suitable for riders up to about 6ft (1.82m)
Shimano 105 Hubs on Mavic MA rims (running smooth as butter and tru)
Shimano Tiagra rear mech
Shimano 105 Braze on front mech
Campagnolo Avanti cranks 52/39
Campagnolo Record sealed BB
Shimano 105 SIS downtube shifters
Shimano RX100 brake levers
Coda Brakes with new Clarkes 55mm pads
Coda 2000 leather seat
Campagnolo Mirage Headset
3TTT Ergo power bars
3TTT 100m Stem
White bar wrap
originally had:
Specialized Mondo 23c Front tyre
Vredestein Fortezza Rear Tyre Comp
it didn't have pedals
now it has
also me and Phil swapped the rear cassette as one had a missing dent, it now has 8 (I think) cogs, so you can't use rear shifter in index mode until you put a compatible one back on.
Decided to sell only because I find it too stiff for my needs (it's a racing cycle after all!)
I can sell it as it is for 380 with Flux faux-leather saddle -> dropped £360
