Many thanks to Zebra Cyclist, cafewanda and Pootsmanuva who so far have offered to help with signs in Central / East. You bag T-shirts and a free drink back at the GHT for your trouble.
If any other boys or girls can help put these up on Saturday evening please contact Zebra Cyclist via PM. The signs are the ride and divvying up sign duties is a massive help to me and others who are trying to make this go as smooth as a 6000 series ceramic bearing.
If you can help you too will bag the ultra desirable 5th annnversay TLC T-shirt (worth £15) and a pint at the end for your trouble....+ the knowledge you did it 'for the kids'.
thanks!
Dave

Kings cross, say 9:00?
^ I'll meet you there too!
Sounds good. Do you have a particular place in mind? Outside GNH bar? Granary sq? German Gymnasium? MacDonalds on Pentonville rd?

I'm seriously considering the Bridges ride, but that's just bravado, I'm hoping it will have worn off by the weekend
I'm thinking this is a nice stretch to warm up for the Classic. Mostly flat as well and only fast if you decide to chase the excitables at the front.

With my navigating skills I would be a hinderance rather than help. I am the eejit that added seven miles to his Overnight Brighton ride.

^ Temp, print off the route from the TLC web page. You'll be ok, although I have been known to divert off route even with a map :-).

The Bridges flat?! Those sneaky bridges are little hills!

Greetings folks,
Now then please hear these wise words from the lovely cafewanda
''^ Temp, print off the route from the TLC web page. You'll be ok, although I have been known to divert off route even with a map :-).''
That is such a wanda-ful idea......
I always do this and have a copy of an A-Z in my bag for this ride. Covers you if you get lost by missing a sign. Covers you if you want to go off-piste for any reason...
Here is photographic evidence from last year. Action shot of me making sure all paperwork is in order
It's here should you need it http://www.thelondonclassic.org/route-2/
Give thanks,

Listen up people it's JAH tim's fashion news...
Now then you will notice above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
that I decided to wear my Brixton Cycles top over my Rapha long sleeve jersey.Rapha do make 'nice, but a bit pricey' clothes and yes they employ people, so I am not going to knock a very easy target.... Brixton Cycles however have looked after me since 1998. There is a heavy BC presence for this ride, so it is good to pay homage to them.
Here is a little history lesson for you...

Here is one of their friendly staff, who some of you might know

And I've got a problem in urgent need of fixing. Does anyone have a 7402 Dura Ace 8 speed rear mech knocking about that they want shot of? It doesn't need to be pretty as I want the rear plate, as I've gone and stripped the thread on mine. No plate = No ride + Cheesed off me. :-( Thanks in advance.
I can collect tomorrow as I'm knocking about South London in the morning and East in the afternoon.

I have 400 route guides printed. As well as 192 pink arrows and visual aid of others who a riding the route it should be hard to get badly lost.*
*theres always some that mess with signs - fact of life, but generally the arrows should get you home.
