It's not hard to spot a bunch of cyclists hanging around the self-service ticket machines.
-
• #117
thanks~ apols for the newb question
-
• #118
Where's the ride out leaving from?
-
• #119
Not a newb question at all. We sometimes forget that we know which grubby corner is the meeting spot and forget that others do not.
We gather in the space between the machines and the main ticket office.
-
• #120
We should try and get a bit cleverer with the groupsaves this time. We should get a couple of GS4s so don't go get a ticket as soon as you arrive, wait until a few people have turned up and we have a better idea of numbers. For this to work could people get there in plenty of time, or post up if you think you'll be late.

A few people have asked (on thread or via PM) about a where the 'Ride Out' starts from. Speaking personally, I have to admit I find the logistics of organising an official ride out a bit of a nightmare as I struggle to commit to being at a particular place at a particular time in the (usually) frantic rush to get away from work/home. I reckon the only reason I'm able to consistently arrive on time is because I generally only have myself to worry about and there is zero faffage!
Also, the routes out are often the stuff of nightmares. You usually have to take a quickish route and the traffic is normally fairly horrendous, with drivers in foul moods - all desperate to get home asap. It's not really optimum conditions for group riding If I'm honest.
Having said this - if it's the difference between someone riding and not riding, I'll be aiming to hit the junction of Lordship Lane and Green Lanes (opposite Wood Green Tube) @ about 18:30...*
http://www.strava.com/routes/240245 (disclaimer - never ridden this way before)
*AirTime is taking the Epping route from Canary Wharf, if that is preferred..
If I see him I'll let him know.
