Are no lever hoods really something that people think looks good? I always thought that was for people who couldn't find a biro spring, or like wanted to make sure that you know that while they may have brake hoods, they definitely had brakeless installed.
At any rate, not æsthetically pleasing to me and I am a little surprised it is to anyone.
