• A great classic English frame by a very well renowned builder. It will have been custom built, as all his frames were, in this case from Reynolds 531 tubing through-out (i.e. all tubes and the fork blades). Combined with Campagnolo dropouts, fastback seat stays and the sticker marking it out as having been originally built up with Dura Ace, it makes it clear that this is a real quality piece of framebuilding. I'd guess it was probably made some point in the late 1970's.

    The measurements are as follows:
Seat tube - 53.5cm (centre to top)
Top tube - 53.5mm (centre to centre)

There are a few areas of surface rust, which aren't going to cause you any problems, but it could probably benefit from a repaint to bring it back to its form glory. Other than that its all straight and true; ready to roll.

    **£65 **

    Collection from N19.

I don't really want to post it, but if if no buyers come forth I will consider it.

If you have any questions just ask.

  • Potential dibs pending being able to see the pictures

  • Oh are they not loading?

  • Loading fine for me.
    Great frame!

  • Thanks pepe, chiag, if you still can't see them PM me and I'll send you some direct links.

  • Would this fit OK 123? Go nice with his track...

  • Was thinking I need this but I don't think I can afford a group set and wheels to build it up in the near future, particularly if I want to repair the Bridgestone

  • Worth buying and holding onto?

  • I'd say so...

  • Nice frame....shouldnt be too expensive to restore

  • Just wondering if still available? If so would like it for sure please...

Only thing I recently fell off and broke my leg so would need posting or whatever!

Obviously happy to cover cost - could be to SE1 or E7...

    Regards

    Doug

  • I actually knew Dave Russell. Great character. Used to go into the Chaveley Road shop and get asked whether I wanted a cup of tea before I'd even said hello. One of his specialities was to hard boil an egg in the kettle at the same time. You could watch your frame take shape in front of you. Many great riders used to pop in for a chat. How he made a living is beyond me. Sadly missed.
