Only one team has scored over 100 goals in a premier league season (103 goals for Chelsea in 2009-10). Liverpool currently have 88 goals, with an average of 2.75 goals per game over the course of the season to date, and 3.5 goals a game over their last ten games. With 6 games left to play, will they break the record? If so, will this be viewed as the best attacking side in the Premier League era?
Out of interest, the 95-96 Newcastle 'entertainers' that this Liverpool side are frequently compared to only amassed 66 goals in a full season (fewer than the United and Liverpool sides that year).
