  • I thought too much protein puts Your body into digestion mode.

    I have used protein during all day rugby tournaments. But not so much on the bike. I have some 2nd surge gels to test out, which contain protein.

    I'm currently thinking my long ride strategy will be

    Flapjacks
    Energygels for quick hit.
    Water With nuun and a little carb added.

    Energy wise that should work well. My electrlytes will be sorted too. But I need to get look into protein and caffiene Levels.
