  • He signed Steve Peters

  • Anyone but Liverpool for me.

  • As much as Id like Liverpool to win (as Arsenal deffo cant any more) I still cant see past Citeh here. Can see them winning at Anfield...

  • Liverpool have got the momentum and only have to draw their games - at home - against City and Chelsea.

City have got a late season potential fucker against Everton.

Liverpool now the favourites in my book. Unbelievable turnaround.

city have to drop more points

  • We only need 11 points out of 18 to guarantee 3rd place (assuming Arsenal don't get 30+ extra GD in the last games, and win all their games).

Even if we screw up Chelsea and Man City, I'd say that's got to be a realistic target.

And if we win those 2, who knows...

  • If we finish 3rd now it will be a massive disappointment considering our current position.

  • Anyone but Liverpool for me.

You don't count. And I'm not sure you're being completely honest either!

If we finish 3rd now it will be a massive disappointment considering our current position.

Understandable, but considering where you were at the end of last season, and the expectations as this one begun, even 3rd place would be impressive mark huge progress.

There was an interesting interview with Burnley manager Sean Dyche in The Guardian this weekend, where he insists that even the play-offs would mark a big achievement. Obviously automatic promotion seems nailed-on for them, but it's good to have a bit of perspective as well.

  • Just saw Mel and Solksjaer's reaction to the equaliser yesterday.

Considering how much was at stake for them, it was great to see.

  • Also if England don't take Rodriguez to Brazil then they're taking the piss.

    Especially if they take Defoe.

  • Yep, we need perspective. At the start of the season we would have all taken 3rd (I would have a week or two ago).

To grow the club for the long term we need champions league more than the league.

  • But at the same time, the idea of winning it? It's amazing...

  • Woke up this morning, can't believe we are top

  • you are supposed to be the sensible one, the voice of reason

If you can't enjoy the ride... everyweek is now going to be nerve wrecking (unless the team give us goals straight away)

sunday 4pm West ham, working from home monday

  • Can't believe that no one has put the boot into the little ponies that couldn't after getting stuffed by the EaaaaaaGLES!
Where's Jawless, Shitface and Talkin'Shite with their views on the defeat? Nothing to say except that Champions League football next season is assured.
Not so much talking about your own club, as coughing gently about your own team..

In talking about my own team news (Chelsea Whisperers take note). We played shite on Sunday, not sure what Sherwood was thinking having Siggurdson and Bentaleb playing as the defensive/holding midfielders, especially leaving Sandro on the bench, and Eriksen out on the left wing, who was culpable for much of the first goal, though Kaboul's comedy defending wasn't anything to write home about.

We let Liverpool have possession and the midfield, no bite there, or intent to ruffle their feathers. They had carte blanche to waltz through us, and Dawson needs a slap for that lazy pass that led to Liverpool's second. It was all over from that point on, and no amount of bringing on Dembele late was going to change anything.

Hearing rumours that Sherwood lamped Dawson in the dressing room, which would be funny if it didn't show how out of his depth Sherwood is at this point. Wondering whether the press will put the boot into him, as much as they did with AVB. as he's had as many big losses as AVB did losing 5-1 to man city, 4-0 to chelsea and 4-0 to liverpool. Will be interesting to see how the press write this one up..

  • thats right corny
    come out fighting

  • The Chelsea plastics are melting in the heat of the title race and from the gaseous fumes coming from The Happy ones gob.
I heard there was some sort of dressing room altercation after the Tottenham game too. Sherwood will be off at the end of the season that's for certain.
As for Liverpool, well 8 wins in a row says it all really.

  • i like the way sherwood is always trying to hide a smirk when he's interviewed
at least he sees the funny side

  • This plastic is melting in the desert sun. Match was nothing to write home about.
Like I've always said, Chelsea are massive underdogs and there's no consistency.

Did not expect City to give away the initiative in the title race that easily. Liverpool are now favourites. Which kind of shows you how inconsistent the top teams have been this year.

  • Corny in deflection tactics shocker... Here's a number for ya...

  • Chelsea are solid as hell, but lack a really good striker and occasionally that's going to bite you.

Massive underdogs my arse, you've been joint favourites all season and rightly so.

Yet to see any of the other games this weekend so can't really comment on anything other than the results which were cracking

  • thats right corny
    come out fighting

    Hahahaha:))))

  • Chelsea are solid as hell, but lack a really good striker and occasionally that's going to bite you.

    What can you do...

  • Talkin'Shite

  • What can you do...

I guess they can splash out another 50million on someone. Poor lambs

Liverpool look nailed on for third now. I've said all season Chelsea will win it. I still think they will with all their experience

    Chelsea
    City
    Liverpool
