    ^ I raced a 2011 105 CAADX for a bit. Nothing wrong with it. Quite relaxed, easy to ride, light...probably a better bike that I was racer. For 2011-12 there were a couple of models with different levels of componentry up to the Ultegra version. They all had the same frame and ultracross 1.1/8 Alu / Carbon fork. They didn't share much - other than BB30 - with the CAAD10 frame although the 'X' I guess is a play on CX and 10.

    For 13/14 they are mostly disc based except the Sora version and visually share some of the CAAD10's features - straight seat stays, flat (ish) top tube etc. Fork is still alu / carbon 1.1/8 though which will do a bit to keep the front end from being too stiff

    Are they shit? No. Not the raciest frames around but unless you are looking to win regionals / nationals I doubt they'd be holding you back
