  • Went to Scherritt yesterday myself.

5.5 hrs chatting shit about bikes and wheelbuilding and powermeters and how mental hard hippy is was fun. Potentially sorting out the cause of niggling knee pain and some recent sciatic back pain episodes was a bonus.

Total adjustments to my bike were about 5mm of movement of my saddle, but loads of attention to my shoes, cleats and insoles as the contact points that effect most what happens back up the kinetic chain to your legs, hips and torso.

The bike adjustments are actually the easy bit and that was what happens last of all; its the interviewing to identify possible causes of the things he's observing you do on the bike itself that takes the time together with the exercises to identify weakness/instability that might need correction and/or adjustment on the bike to fix, or exercise + stretches to address off the bike.
