here are the lugs and the fucked up paint on the top tube.. I think that wasn't the right decision.

Why would you scrape the paint of the lugs? Are they stainless steel? I guess they are not... Don't repaint anything, it seems that just the first layer of paint chipped of, didn't even get to the primer.. seal it with some clear lack and that's it! I also think it's a shame taking any stickers off it that show that it was a real race bike!
There is a lot of restoration of classic track bikes here so before you do more damage, read, read, read! Good luck with that beautiful frame! -

http://www.carmaxx.ch this was the sponsor…. I think this is the most discussing emblem ever.. But I get your point. I took of the paint of the luges because under the color they are chrome. So I will polish them and every thing will be shining as new.. The color under the sticker is really damaged.. My fault but it is.

A few things to bear in mind;
- It was only original once. It is no longer original.
- Unless you have a personal connection to the team or rider that raced the bike, you owe it nothing.
- Paint is a consumable, even on race machinery.
Ask yourself why you bought this particular frame, and what your vision is for the complete finished bike. You didn't choose the original paint scheme, you aren't duty-bound to like it, and you've already admitted that you think the CarMaxx logo is fucking horrible (you're absolutely right, btw).
I think you should do whatever you like with it, just be respectful and do a quality job that would be worthy of a frame of this quality.
If it was raced with any degree of success, its presence as a race bike will be in photographs somewhere, hopefully with the rider it meant most to. - It was only original once. It is no longer original.

It never was original.. The team ordered the frame and got it raw from collage. There sponsor then decided about the color of the frame. they did a really bad job on the baint.. IMO. I would prefer the frame to have the original painting.. Due to thats not possible for a reasonable price I think I will polish the luges and give the frame the branding with the decals..
I actually just bought it because I got a good deal on it. IMO. And I think it is fun to have something to play with. -

Beautifully put... Couldn't have put it better... 😊
Hi guys,
I bought a Master Pista Olympic which has been ridden by a junior team in Zürich. Due to that the color is blue and white.
I bought the frame with a Campagnolo headset and a seat post and a cockpit. I also bought the fork, but the guy who sold it to me gave me the worn one. Road and too short. I am now searching for a Colnago Pista fork and will try to restore the frame. I would be happy to get some advice! It's my first one.
Here you can see a picture of the Frame set like I bought it.
Until now I have polished the Seatpost and the headset. I have also tried to cut out the logo of the sponsor and took of the paint of the lugs with a raiser blade. Now I have to repaint the part on the top tube and buy some decals.
I thought of these: http://cyclomondo.net/page5.htm Do you have any experience with these?
Would you repaint the howl frame? I also want to buy some track shamal and a camp group. I am not to hellbent on my plan. So let me now about your opinions.
cheers and thank you!!
