Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

I've been eyeing up the orange PT jacket for a while now. My question is will I find it useful enough?

Take today for example, I had on the L/S brevet jersey with a PT sleeveless base layer on.

I found I was warm most of the ride aside from some fast downhills but when we stopped I got cold quite quickly.

Would the PT jacket have kept me warm whilst stopping and would I have been too hot when going up climbs etc today? Weather app on my phone said it felt like 4-6 degrees. I don't own any jackets at all, tend not to ride in the pissing down rain but I did get pretty cold a few times over the winter.

What do you guys think?
