he's after a classic 58cm+ path frame. that (presumably your) ad is for a 53cm decidedly non classic conversion.
no cigar for you.

tilover that's narse dude. what is it? I can't read the decals.
that jaques i just sold for nuthing had some nice mafac centrepulls on it. looked cool. didn't work very well though...
i had my bob path frame dated last week. 1935/6. it's from first year of production. how mad is that? i was reading about robert johnson (mystery train by greil marcus) on the bus last night and realised that my bike was made before robert johnson made those recordings.

I'll take second dibs on those if tilover does not want them.
I have some Mafac centre pulls you can have, front and rear with all the small bits
PM if interested -

it's an unknown as yet, it has byer cycles graphics when it was sprayed in the 80's but that's it - am going to do some research next month for when i repaint it
can i see a pic of your bob? i think mine could be pre 50's but really dont know yet

Spotted the wanted ad and was going to mention my 1900s path racer, but i can see we have a different concept of vintage! lol
-

1900's would be cool too, but i reckon anything pre 60's is classed as vintage despite it being a very vague term, at a guess it's something like...
1839 first ever bicycle - second world war antique
post war - to 1959 vintage]
1960-79 classic[/I
1980-90's [I]retro
90's til now modernthat would be my guess - in the motor world anything pre 1974 is classic and pre 1940 is vintage (i think)
anyhoo, this bike i am building is the new bike for l'eroica and although i havn't done the full 210km i'd like to give it a go and have a sporting chance try it on a lightweight ish path racer with sensible gearing, am really after a pederson or something equally as exotic for future years
:)

I just want to see the 1900 path racer.

Ive though my path racer would be a good L'eroica bike, but really im not interested in racing, so the Tweeds it is!
(in the car world, pre 31-12-1930 is vintage, pre 05-11-1905 is veteran, classic really only applies to cvars of a certain pedigree, unless youre an owner of a 1970s shitbox who wants it to be worth money.). -

@soperiva, I might be be riding it on weds if its a nice day. Its a few pages down the 'current projects' thread. Go to my stats and you might find it. Its for sale! heehee
