Hi all,
looking for a friend who wants his first fixed gear. He wants to spend max £200, and I thought it'd be better to get an old on off here rather than some shite no name bike off eBay for the same amount. What do you think? And does anyone have anything that might be of interest?
Cheers.

Hola, newbie to the forum. I am converting an 83 Claud Butler Majestic to fixed/single. Looking for a suitable first fixie wheelset. Not too worried about weight, but don't want anything that's gonna brake. I ride BMX as well, so know what happens when you buy the wrong "budget" parts. Been looking online, but have no idea what's good or bad really. Any recommendations? Any SH to sell?

Got a surly/miche wheelset for sale if you're interested? Drop me a pm or email at nabeshin 773 (at) gmail (dot) com.
Just take out spaces/put in symbols.

Brought this bike off the forum in January (http://www.lfgss.com/thread118770.html) and it has been sat in my living room making me feel guilty ever since. So lack of use and two huge bills are forcing me to sell.

Hi, a mate in Knutsford wants to get an old steel track bike frame blasted and powdered. Obviously a few on yell, but wondered if any recommendations. Ta

Forums are very powerful tools if you can use them correctly. I will tell you where to get a frame blasted and coated, but first I will teach you something much more valuable. its called the search tool. You go to the Manchester section, click search this forum and type in 'powder coating' and click go.
The information you seek is already available for you without asking questions that have been asked umpteen times before. Asking questions again and again in different threads reduces the effectiveness of the forum, keep things in the right place.
Chicago coating ashton under lyne. acceptable job quality at just £25 or so a frameset.

Anyone want a pair of 26x2.0 kojaks for £15.
Looking for a single speed for my OH. From out of the blue she said 'I want a bike'.
She's only 5'1 so an xs flat bar something, 'I DO NOT WANT A PINK BIKE OR GIRLS BIKE' she says.
No point spending too much yet as she might not take to it. Flip flop hub might be good as I'm always banging on about how good fixed is for getting in shape but slowly slowly catchy monkey I suppose.
Any help appreciated. Ta
C.
