  • Tom, do you run at all? A tall lad like you with an already excellent cardio system would take to it really well and you'll burn so much energy you rarely have to conciously think about calorie intake.

    I've always had issues with my back and my knees so not too keen. I tried to get into it while I was at uni but never really got past the 'why does everything hurt?' phase. Used to swim though, so interested in giving that a go again.

    The issue isn't really about needing to consciously thinking about calorie intake or not - now I'm back riding a bike again I doubt it'll be an issue until I stop (if I stop). It's just learning to let go now the weight-loss goal has been reached.
