looks gorgeous. Agressive, fillet brazed, steel, straight forks with extraordinary crown - ticks all the boxes.
Just please paint it -

This is stunning.
Agreed that I nice paintjob will finish it off nicely -
• #5
Yep! Very, very nice.
Looking forward to seeing what you decide for paint. -

Thanks, the frame and fork are clear coated so for them moment I'll just build it up because I need the bike for commuting asap. If I'm not happy with the raw color I can always have it painted after the winter kicks in.

Slowly taking shape with Campa Record seat post, headset and hubs, Chorus Skeleton brakes, Pista cranks, Mavic SSC hubs, Selle San Marco Regal titanium saddle, 3T Pro Chromo stem, Merckx bend Super Competizione handlebar and Cane Creek levers (with Campagnolo rubber).
Waiting for Conti Giro tubes, Brooks bar tape, Miche chain and a set of Speedplay stainless pedals to arrive.

Old bike, new wheels...

Utterly beautiful.
I think I preferred it with the GP4s though- but it is not my bike so who cares! -

Would look monster with a pair of 38 carbon clinchers. Really nice!
-
• #13
38mm carbon would be my choice if I'd build the bike with more carbon (Record carbon break levers, carbon cranks and stem), different saddle and an threadless headset and stem instead of quill.

Lovely understated build: very classy!
How's the finish holding up?
I'm afraid the seatpost isn't Record. The shield looks to be engraved, which means it's Triomphe/Victory or 1st gen. Chorus: Chorus inherited it when Tri/Vic were phased out.

Really nice, very simple.Preferred it with the GP4's though.Don't get it too close to that water though!

this is lovely

Thanks for the info on the seatpost. It came with a Zieleman bike my girlfriend bought which was otherwise full Record (the hubs in my wheelset originate from that bike too). The clear powdercoat holds very well. No visible chips or rust yet but I'm checking regularly.

Spot on ;)
Antonio Taverna build this frameset for me. Waiting for some ordered parts to arrive so I can complete the build. Planned as a low maintenance bike for daily commuting (220km a week)
